Decarbonizing the last mile and changing how we think about car usage in cities fundamentally challenges how we move from A-B. This discussion brought together three experts from the cities of Dortmund, Vancouver, and Pittsburgh to discuss the main hurdles and opportunities their cities face to decarbonize the last mile through presentations of their current projects, best practices, and remaining challenges. The discussion will answer questions such as:

  • What are the three cities currently doing to transition their transport sectors?
  • What are the potential benefits and obstacles to car-free cities?
  • How can we actively engage citizens in this transition?
  • How transposable are the policies presented?

The event will culminate in a Q&A moderated by a mobility expert.
